The key role of the UPC community and the establishment of an internal network of units
The definition of policies and the implementation of the many actions discussed in other sections of this site would not be possible without the collaboration and commitment of the UPC community as a whole.
Within their respective areas of responsibility and expertise, basic and functional units contribute to developing one or more dimensions of social responsibility.
While it is important to recognise the role the UPC community as a whole has played in this area, it should also be noted that the University has progressively built up an internal network of services, units, research groups and chairs with objectives that are closely linked to aspects of social responsibility.
In this context, the Planning, Assessment and Quality Bureau has been tasked with the technical coordination of social responsibility at the UPC.
The section ”Functional structure of USR at the UPC” provides further information on the units set up specifically to deal with aspects of social responsibility.
