Social Responsibility in Catalonia, Government of Catalonia, RScat
A space for reflection and sharing ideas on social responsibility in Catalonia.
RScat is a new joint initiative launched by the Government of Catalonia and the region’s main business and trade union organisations within the framework of the Labour Relations Council. It is intended as a platform for the exchange and dissemination of ideas and initiatives related to social responsibility (SR) being developed and pursued by Catalan businesses, organisations and government agencies. Participating organisations share a set of common values and a commitment to responsible and sustainable competitiveness. The site offers information on the concept of social responsibility and its frame of reference, examples of companies and government agencies that are working on the issue, and resources and tools to move ahead with the introduction of socially responsible standards.
National Council for Business Social Responsibility
The State Council on Corporate Social Responsibility (CERSE) is an advisory body attached to the Spanish Ministry of Labour and Immigration. It is responsible for promoting and encouraging BSR policies and provides a framework for initiatives in this area in Spain.
University Strategy 2015, Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport
The University Strategy 2015 initiative envisages the approval of a central working hub to focus on university social responsibility, designed in consultation with universities and the main stakeholders in this area.
European Commission: Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion
The European Commission’s Directorate-General of Enterprise and Industry and Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion are also involved in promoting business social responsibility.
CADEP – Committee of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities
The CRUE’s Committee for Environmental Quality, Sustainable Development and Risk Prevention was set up as a working group in September 2012 at the initiative of a number of universities. Its main objective is to pull together the experience of universities in environmental management.
